Summary
This guide shows the heating plate plug and socket wiring for standard 220 V and 380 V hydraulic units, including the PT100 temperature sensor and power connections. It also provides inspection and service notes for after-sales maintenance.

When inspecting or replacing the heating plate plug or hydraulic unit socket on a butt fusion machine, it is important to identify the correct wiring connections.
The diagram below shows the heating plate plug and socket connections for standard 220 V and 380 V hydraulic units. It identifies the power connections and PT100 temperature sensor connections for after-sales inspection and servicing.
220V Wiring
The heating plate plug and hydraulic unit socket connections include:
· PT100 connections: Used to detect the heating plate temperature.
· Live and neutral connections: Supply power to the heating plate.
The diagram shows both the front and rear views of the five-pin heating plate plug to help identify the connection positions.
380V Wiring
The heating plate plug and hydraulic unit socket connections include:
· PT100 connections: Used to detect the heating plate temperature.
· Power connections: Supply power to the heating plate.
When inspecting the wiring, refer to the corresponding positions on the hydraulic unit socket and heating plate plug shown below.
Inspection and Service Notes
1. Disconnect the power supply and confirm that the equipment is safe before inspection or servicing.
2. Check the machine model, voltage and actual configuration before connecting any wires. Wiring may vary for customized machines or different production batches.
3. Do not identify wire functions by color alone. Refer to the machine’s wiring diagram and verify the connections through appropriate testing.
4. Check the pins, terminals and wires for looseness, damage or signs of overheating.
5. The protective earth connection and the function of each pin must be verified by an electrician before wiring.
6. Wiring inspection and servicing should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
If you are unsure about any connection, please contact Welping after-sales service. Provide the machine model, operating voltage, and clear photos of the plug and socket so that our team can help you confirm the wiring.
