This successful practice reinforces our belief that by relying on reliable equipment like the WP315A PRO and WELPING's standardized environment—and, more importantly, through every operator's strict adherence to procedures—we can consistently deliver high-quality welding results. In the WELPING sample room, we successfully completed the welding of a 160mm HDPE pipe to a 90° elbow using the WP315A PRO welding machine. Despite the challenge of differing wall thicknesses, the welding result was perfect. The operational points we consider crucial are summarized below:
I. Pre-Welding Preparation: Our Foundational Practices

· Equipment & Environment: We fully leveraged the sample room's ideal conditions and ensured the heating plate temperature of the WP315A PRO welder was precise and stable (e.g., 210°C ±5°C), forming the foundation for success.
· Material & Alignment: We meticulously confirmed material compatibility between the pipe and fitting. Parameters were fine-tuned on the welder to account for the wall thickness variation. Following strict facing and cleaning procedures, we achieved precise alignment in the fixture, keeping the misalignment within standard limits.
II. The Welding Process: Our Discipline


•Heating & Changeover: We strictly adhered to the preset heating time and pressure, patiently waiting for a uniform molten bead to form. Subsequently, we executed a swift and smooth changeover—removing the heating plate and joining the components—avoiding any jarring movements.
• Cooling under Pressure: We place exceptional importance on the cooling phase under pressure, insisting that the joint cools naturally to ambient temperature within the fixture. We absolutely avoid any human disturbance during this process, as it is critical for ensuring joint strength.
III. Post-Weld Inspection: Our Standard
• Visual Inspection: We carefully examine the cooled weld bead, confirming it is full, uniform, and defect-free, providing visual proof of quality.
• Documentation & Traceability: We meticulously recorded all key information from this operation, including equipment model, material specifications, and welding parameters. This provides a traceable basis for WELPING project quality.
