Summary
This article explains the engineering rationale behind the green heating plate used on FX series butt fusion machines. As the highest-spec heating plate within the product range, it features multi-point temperature testing, a thicker plate body, reliable internal components, and industrial-grade connections. Designed for temperature consistency and long-term stability, it forms part of the overall FX system configuration.

Across our butt fusion machine range, different heating plates are used to match different structural and application requirements.
Each series follows its own standards in terms of construction, materials, and temperature control performance.
The green heating plate represents the highest specification within our heating plate system. For this reason, it is supplied as standard equipment exclusively on FX series butt fusion machines.
Since the FX series is positioned as our high-end product line, equipping it with a higher-grade heating plate for such a critical component is a logical configuration choice.
Temperature Consistency Begins in Production
In butt fusion welding, uniform temperature distribution across the heating plate is essential to weld quality.
To minimize the risk of temperature deviation, every green heating plate used on the FX series undergoes multi-point temperature verification after manufacturing.
Using dedicated measuring equipment, we test 12 key locations across the heating plate surface.
This method evaluates overall temperature distribution rather than relying on a single measurement point.
Infrared thermal imaging is also used to observe how the plate performs under operating conditions, providing a clearer view of real heat distribution.
Structural Design Focused on Stability
The green heating plate is defined by its construction, not just its appearance.
Its structural features are designed to support stable and consistent performance over time:
· Thicker plate body
Improves heat retention and helps maintain temperature stability.
· High-quality non-stick coating
Provides durability while remaining practical for cleaning and maintenance.
· Reliable internal electrical components
Support steady and continuous heating during operation.
· Standard large-size industrial plug
Better suited to jobsite environments, offering more secure electrical connections.
These elements are intended to enhance real-world welding performance, rather than to simply increase technical specifications on paper.
Integrated Within the FX Series System
The green heating plate is not treated as an isolated feature.
It forms part of the overall FX series system configuration and is selected to align with the machine’s structural design and operating conditions.
Within the FX series, long-term stability and process consistency are key priorities.
The green heating plate is one of the components that supports this approach.
