New 355 Clamp Design Upgrade — Coming Soon

Summary

WELPING introduces a new 355 butt fusion clamp design with die-cast structure, improved consistency, dual 355mm/14” compatibility, and enhanced mobility.

New 355 Clamp Design Upgrade — Coming Soon
As demands for structural consistency and scalable manufacturing continue to grow, WELPING is introducing a new upgrade to the 355 butt fusion machine platform.

This update focuses on the upper and lower main clamps, refining both their design and manufacturing approach while maintaining the proven strength and reliability of the existing structure.
A Practical Engineering Upgrade
The current 355 clamp design has been widely validated in long-term applications, particularly in terms of strength and operational stability.
Rather than redefining performance, this upgrade is driven by practical improvements in design and production:
· Improved structural consistency for large-scale manufacturing
· More refined geometry and better overall design balance
· Enhanced manufacturability and assembly efficiency

This evolution reflects a shift from simply “working well” to working consistently at scale.
What’s New
New Die-Cast Clamp Structure
The upgraded 355 clamps are built using a newly developed die-casting mold.
This allows for a more optimized structural layout and a cleaner, more uniform appearance, while maintaining the original load-bearing performance.
Dual Metric & Inch Compatibility
The new clamp design supports both:
· 355 mm (metric)
· 14” (inch)

Providing greater flexibility for different market standards and applications.
Improved Mobility as Standard
The new 355 configuration will come standard with:
· Transport wheels
· Carrying handle

This improves handling efficiency and makes the machine easier to move in both workshop and job-site environments.
Cross-Series Compatibility
The upgraded clamp structure is fully compatible with:
· WELPING FX Series
· WELPING A Pro Series
· WELPING A Series

Ensuring continuity across different product lines.
Built for Consistency
This upgrade reflects a continued focus on practical engineering improvements.
By refining both structure and manufacturing methods, the new design delivers:
· More consistent production quality
· Better suitability for batch manufacturing
· A cleaner and more modern product appearance

All while maintaining the performance users already rely on.
Coming Soon
The new 355 butt fusion configuration will be gradually introduced into production.
More details, including real-world operation and application scenarios, will be shared in upcoming updates.
