INTRODUCTION
WPDS Series Mounted Flange Facer machines are designed for precision facing and end-prepping of various types of flange surfaces. These machines feature a belt-driven system with adjustable cam tensioners powered by a pneumatic motor, ensuring accurate and consistent results. The slide and compound components are guided by a precision ball screw and linear rails, creating a rigid system with smooth travel for optimal performance.
The compound on these machines can swivel to any angle off vertical, offering versatility to machine a range of gasket surfaces.
Externally mounted, these flange facers securely clamp onto the outside diameter of the flange using quick-set adjustable legs and jaws. Similar to our ID mount models, these machines are also capable of machining a continuous groove spiral serrated flange finish. Additionally, some models can be configured to machine grooves for RTJ (Ring Type Joint) gaskets, providing further flexibility and functionality for various flange machining needs.
