A test on 20Mn 16-inch steel pipe showed that while standard machines could complete grooving, efficiency dropped under load. The AG-4X significantly improved speed and stability, reducing processing time to about 2 minutes per joint. The case highlights the importance of matching equipment to high-strength materials and demanding working conditions.

At the 139th Canton Fair, a PE pipe scraper from Welping attracted strong interest and was purchased directly by a customer on-site. Available in two models (PPS24 and PPS32), the tool features a clamp-on structure, simple operation, and smooth performance. It serves as an efficient surface preparation tool for PE pipe electrofusion welding.

Both drive systems are capable of completing the facing process.

However, for long-term use and higher load applications, gear-driven facers provide more stable and predictable results, making them more suitable for large-diameter butt fusion work.
